Saturday, December 8th

The Chatham Volunteer Fire Department, in conjunction with Chatham First, is proud to sponsor a Chatham Christmas Parade celebrating our Victorian theme.  In addition, Saturday’s program will offer vendors, crafters, bus tours of many churches featured in the calendar, and carriage tours of Whittle Street.  Historic re-enactors from the period will introduce many interesting characters from our region. In addition, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be meeting people, auctions, and many businesses will be having Christmas specials offering something for townspeople and visitors alike!

Christmas in Historic Chatham relies upon the talented musicians of our area to set the tone for the season.    On Saturday, old and new fans will enjoy the “old time music” of Kinney Rorrer and the New North Carolina Ramblers.  Just as last year, the churches of Chatham will both begin and end the Christmas celebration.  A special musical presentation formed from combined choirs will be the finale to a weekend filled with celebration!
